What are Web Analytics?
Web Analytics are detailed measurements of all traffic to a website. There are a number of tools available to track and analyze web statistics but by far the best most detailed information is available from Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to track web stats for all our clients. We use this information as a basis for detailed reports that we use to direct marketing initiatives, content development, and lead generation programs.
Some of the information that can be tracked with Google Analytics includes:
- Who visits your site?
- How did they get there?
- What pages did they visit?
- What keywords did they search by to find your site?
- How long did they stay or your site?
- How did they progress from page to page?
One of the best features of Google Analytics is its ability to create custom time frames for data. This feature allows you to track results of advertising both off and online, pay- per-click campaigns, holiday specials and more. The more information you have about the success or failure of your marketing efforts allows you to re-direct your advertising and marketing expenditures to produce the highest return on investment.
Google Analytics produces a wealth of information that is beneficial to your business. While the analytics are a benefit they can also be a drawback because the amount of information can be overwhelming. What stats should you focus on and why? That is where Imagine comes in. We work with our clients to analyze their business, their marketing programs and develop custom reports that focus on the information that is most important to them. We then produce monthly reports specific to your business along with recommendations on how to proceed.
